Meaning and use
Both will and going to can describe the future, and sometimes either is natural. Going to often presents an existing intention or a prediction based on present evidence. Will is common for an offer, a promise, or a decision made while speaking. Compare an arranged intention, I’m going to study tonight, with an immediate response, The phone is ringing. I’ll answer it. Focus on what the speaker means rather than assuming that a time word such as tomorrow requires one form.
