Meaning and use

Clock times identify a point in the day. Half past seven means 7:30; a quarter to eight means 7:45. Add morning, evening, a.m., or p.m. when needed. Frequency expressions such as usually and twice a week describe repetition rather than a particular clock time.

Half past seven គឺម៉ោង៧:៣០ ហើយ a quarter to eight គឺ៧:៤៥។ បន្ថែមព្រឹកឬល្ងាចបើចាំបាច់។ Usually និង twice a week ប្រាប់ភាពញឹកញាប់។

Examples

3. I usually study in the evening.

   យើងជួបគ្នាពីរដងក្នុងមួយសប្ដាហ៍។

Everyday conversation

Dara: What time does class start?

Maly: At seven thirty in the evening.

Dara: How often do you attend?

Maly: Twice a week.

Common mistakes

Instead of	Use	Why
I study two time a week.	I study twice a week.	Twice means two times.
The meeting is in eight o’clock.	The meeting is at eight o’clock.	Use at with a clock time.
