What you’ll learn
Distinguish experiencing an event from arranging a service.
បែងចែកការទទួលសកម្មភាពពីការរៀបចំសេវាឱ្យ។
Meaning and use
Get + past participle can describe an event affecting the subject, often in informal language. Get or have + object + past participle can describe arranging a service. Get + person + to-infinitive means persuade or arrange for that person to act. These patterns differ in agency; do not treat every get construction as passive.
Get repaired បង្ហាញទទួលសកម្មភាព។ Get the bike repaired បង្ហាញរៀបចំឱ្យគេជួសជុលកង់។ Get someone to help បង្ហាញធ្វើឱ្យអ្នកនោះជួយ។ លំនាំទាំងនេះមានតួនាទីខុសគ្នា។
