Unless, Provided That, and Even If

What you’ll learn

Express exceptions, requirements, and unconditional outcomes.

បង្ហាញលក្ខខណ្ឌចាំបាច់ ករណីលើកលែង និងលទ្ធផលមិនប្រែ។

Meaning and use

Unless means approximately if not, but avoid replacing if not mechanically when the meaning is counterfactual or complex. Provided that and as long as introduce requirements. Even if says the result holds despite a possible condition. Only if makes a condition necessary; if alone does not have the same force.

Unless មានន័យប្រហាក់ប្រហែល if not។ Provided that/as long as បង្ហាញលក្ខខណ្ឌចាំបាច់។ Even if បង្ហាញថាលទ្ធផលនៅតែដូចគ្នា ទោះមានលក្ខខណ្ឌនោះក៏ដោយ។
