Updated Oct 28, 2026
Express regret, unused opportunity, and unnecessary completed actions.
What you’ll learn
Express regret, unused opportunity, and unnecessary completed actions.
បង្ហាញសោកស្ដាយ ឱកាសខកខាន និងសកម្មភាពមិនចាំបាច់។
Meaning and use
Should have often evaluates a past action against a better alternative. Could have can describe an opportunity that was not taken, as well as possibility. Need not have done says the action happened but was unnecessary. Did not need to do does not by itself tell us whether the action happened.
Should have អាចបង្ហាញសោកស្ដាយ ឬការរិះគន់អតីតកាល។ Need not have done បញ្ជាក់ថាបានធ្វើហើយ តែមិនចាំបាច់។ Did not need to មិនបញ្ជាក់ដោយខ្លួនឯងថាបានធ្វើឬអត់ទេ។
